Murmuration

 

Murmurations project was part of Spilsby Light Night 2024 commissioned by Session Arts. Murmurations is an immersive digital projection installation is the result of workshops held with students from Woodlands Academy with artists Lumo Workshop. Participants were asked to use easily accessible free apps to create a range of animations with the movement, shapes and sounds of the starling murmurations in the Lincolnshire Wolds as their inspiration. This work forms part of Lumo Workshop ongoing explorations into using tech in your pocket with groups of participants to make new digital artworks. 

Woodlands Academy is a specialist secondary academy in Spilsby, Lincolnshire,for pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs.
