Lou Jones
Artist
Louise is a versatile designer maker with over 25 years experience of working in theatre, television, museums, event production, carnival and community arts.
Louise studied at Birmingham Institute of Art and Design where she gained a BA (hons) in Theatre Design and MA in Scenography. She went on to work extensively in regional theatres including the RSC, Belgrade Theatre and Birmingham Rep as well as working on TV shows such as The Tweenies and The Fimbles.
For the past 10 years she has been collaborating with Nadya Monfinoli as LUMO Workshop which a unique blend of both disciplines.

After graduating in Fine Art from Nottingham Trent University in 1996, Nadya was awarded a Swiss scholarship for post graduate study at L’Ecole Superieure d’Art Visuels in Geneva. In 2019 she received her MA from the University of Lincoln.
She has exhibited her work in Switzerland, the United States, Ukraine, The Netherlands, Austria, Poland and widely across the United Kingdom. Her residencies include National Trust Wales, Scythia Symposium (Black Sea) and the Guild of Handweavers and Spinners (Ontario, Canada).
Nadya’s social practice spans almost 30 years across England and Wales, and she has been working with Louise Jones as LUMO Workshop for over ten of those.
